Philosophy

For me creativity is at the centre of the universe, it connects to every living thing and more importantly, determines how we live our life and how we solve problems. Within the program emphasis on the creative journey, observing and learning about the individuality of each child, encouraging children to learn through exploration and discovery are at the inner core of the Scribbles and Squiggles philosophy.

It was also important for me to create virtues and daily rituals that responded to the ever arching question... What kind of child did I want to raise? I dreamt of resilience, creativity, strong connections with family and community, inquiring minds, active bodies and children who could give and share through the act of creating. All such principles underpin story time on the magic carpet, time to create and the various educational games in sensory space as well the weekly creative parenting handouts.
